OLYMPIC CHALLENGE for technique.
Two teams "Mozart's Maniacs" and "Handel's Hurricanes" squared off on The Olympic Challenge for Technique. They were all pumped up, ready to take on the challenge in their sweats. Coloured hats were provided for each team. There were 2 halves to the program separated by a 5 minute break. A whistle signalled the start of the second half. In each half, students had 2 chances to pick a technique item from a bag for their grade. There was wild applause after each student performed their selection. Everyone really caught the spirit of the event. Special refreshments, including a cake decorated for the occasion, followed. Claire Caseley-Smith did a great job of judging (based on percentages), and awarded the prizes and medals. Handel's Hurricanes won. This was great fun and the students all benefited from preparting their technique for this event. Thanks to Connie and Val for preparing this fun event.
